What I Stand For
Pedestrianisation around Campus
I think it's embarrassing that to get between buildings we have to cross roads and wait for impatient drivers. This is a campus and we should be putting students first by paving over roads. Via Article 4.1 and 5.4(c) of the Union's Memorandum and Articles of Association, the Union has the means to influence governmental organisations, I'd advocate to lobby to no end to make this happen.

Opening up Walkways
To get from point A to point B we have to trek through winding paths, round Malet Place, through the South Junction etc. etc., entry ways through buildings do exist but are limited access for reasons that are personally beyond me. We pay for this campus, we should be able get around it a little easier.
Zero Food Waste
The Students' Union Cafés are set to lose hundreds of items of food on a weekly basis. The Union should be slashing prices if they overstocked, not loading all of the work on a Student Led Project
A Students' Union
The average age for full time Union employees is 40. The Union may be student led, sure, but it should be more run day-to-day by either students or recent-students.
Reducing Dead Space
All around campus there is location after location of space that is empty, not used as a thoroughfare, and generally lacking.
A Union Building
This has been in the books for a while, I'd make sure it gets over the line.
Palestinian Action
Under Charity Law in the UK, the Union cannot legally take a stance. However, I would work to ensure that UCL divests from all investments complicit with the genocide in Palestine.
Better Digital Infrastructure
I don't know what things look like on their backend but if the Union website is any indication it can't be good. If forms must be filled out, they should be a little easier to wrestle with.
Better Storage Solutions
The uncovered insulation in the range is borderline unsafe. The place is damp and a mess.
What I Have Already Done
Pushed for Pedestrianisation
I made Students aware of a consultation to reduce traffic on Gordon Square. On the 31st July I attended a Camden Council consultation on walking routes in the local area where I strongly advocated for the pedestrianisation of Gower Place. No one else from the Students' Union or UCL was in attendance. I will be presenting at the next Welfare & Community Zone to push that the Union should lobby Camden Council for more pedestrianisation around Camden.
Got Involved in Local Government
I reached out to local councillers to discover how I could get involved to see more pedestrianisation this area of Camden, attended a Planning Committee Meeting to learn more about local government processes.

Addressed Food Waste in Union cafés
As a project leader with Zero Food Waste UCL, I am part of the team that delivers food waste from Union cafés to local food banks. We are working towards getting a communal fridge in the Student Centre.
Spent Unreasonable Amounts of Time on Campus
I spend all day and every day of the week on campus, including weekends. I've had the pleasure of knowing people across dozens of societies and at all levels of the Union, I will leverage my connections to make sure that what the Union spends its money on what it needs.
Fought for Accountability
I am presenting policies to get democratic zone meetings recorded so Students can see just what goes on in them. I am also presenting a policy to reduce turnover times to replace Officers who haven't been fulfilling their duties at all.
Made Taylor Swift Karaoke Nights Even Better
Before, the society was manually selecting YouTube videos for the next song to sing along to. I set up an automatic karaoke system so make the nights run ad-free
Brought Societies Together
I serve on the committee of 4 arts societies. Beyond Arts Awards, the wider arts community rarely gathers, I am working on a Megasocial between 25 arts societies to bring the community together.
Consulted on UCL200
I sat on the UCL200 Student Advisory Body and opposed discussion surrounding renaming of bars, I believe we need more campus identity.
Served as Activities Representative
I attended Activities Zone even before I got the role and have acted as a voice for the many societies I participate in
Spoken up for Commuters
Last year I brought forward the proposal to form a commuters network.
Worked with Saabs
Last year, I worked with Postgraduate Sabbatical Officer Darcy to put on PG Career Supercharger Events. This year I'm in contact with Activities & Engagement Officer to work on making sure societies are represented as our Societies Officer has vanished! I also have an audience with the Students' Union President surrounding food waste in Union cafés.
Organised Storage
Musical Theatre Society's Storage was an infamous mess, I tackled the issue head on by testing equipment and reorganising the shelves to make the space that two societies use more accessible.
Familiarised myself with the Governing Documents
How could I possibly hope to take action in a Union if I don't have every clause at a moments notice?. I have spotted mistakes in the Club & Society Regulations and am prepping an anki deck!
Taught Public Speaking
Providing public speaking practice as part of Public Speaking Society and encouraging others step out of their comfort zone
